About this work

This handcrafted Pietra Dura marble plate celebrates the lotus, a timeless symbol of purity, balance, and renewal in Indian art and culture. Crafted from genuine Vietnamese White Marble, it features a distinctive purple stone lotus flower, complemented by green stone inlay and an intricate border of Golden Mother-of-Pearl (MOP).

The rare purple stone used in the floral motif gives this piece its unique character. Its rich purple petals create a striking contrast against the luminous white marble and deep green details, while the golden MOP border adds subtle lustre and elegance.

Each stone element is carefully shaped and fitted by skilled artisans in Agra, India, reflecting the precision of traditional marble inlay craftsmanship. With its premium materials, distinctive colour combination, and graceful scalloped silhouette, this individually handcrafted artwork brings a rare expression of Indian artistry to sophisticated interiors and collectors' spaces.
