In the artist's words

Imran is an artist, founder and creative director of Zenvira Atelier, a contemporary inlay art studio based in Agra, India. His creative vision is rooted in the region's rich heritage of marble craftsmanship, where generations of artisans have developed exceptional skill in transforming natural stone into intricate works of art.

Through Zenvira Atelier, Imran seeks to reinterpret traditional marble inlay techniques through a contemporary artistic perspective. His work explores the relationship between material, form, pattern and space, bringing together the precision of handcrafted artistry and the simplicity of modern design.

Working with marble, mother-of-pearl and selected natural stones, the studio creates bespoke inlay artworks for contemporary interiors. Its focus includes architectural floor inlay, decorative wall panels and distinctive tabletop compositions, each offering opportunities to explore the expressive potential of natural materials and meticulous craftsmanship.

As founder and creative director, Imran guides the studio's creative direction with an emphasis on material integrity, thoughtful design and artisanal excellence. He believes that handcrafted art carries a distinctive character shaped by the natural qualities of its materials, the skill of the artisan and the time invested in every detail.

His approach is guided by a desire to preserve the essence of traditional Indian craftsmanship while allowing it to evolve within contemporary spaces. Rather than treating heritage as something fixed in the past, he views it as a living artistic language that can inspire new forms, interpretations and creative possibilities.

Through Zenvira Atelier, Imran aims to introduce the enduring art of marble inlay to a wider international audience, creating meaningful connections between Indian craftsmanship, contemporary design and collectors who value authenticity, individuality and timeless artistic expression.
